About Me

I started sewing 15 years ago out of sheer boredom. Yup, you read that right--I was bored. I also failed Home Ec in Junior High, but lets get back to how it all started. My second daughter was 6 months old, and I was wandering through the mall and went into a fabric store. I looked around at all the fabrics then through some of the patterns and a dress caught my eye. So I bought the pattern and needed supplies and went home. It didn't go well. So I put it aside until my mom came to visit and we tackled it together.

I liked the challenge of it, and it felt good to accomplish a garment that my girls could wear.  So I continued to sew, working mostly with woven fabrics. Knits intimidated me, and they weren't readily available local at the time. Now I sew mostly with knits and try to include some woven items with each season.

I shared my creations and slowly started sewing for others. Then at farmers markets and a few craft shows. Originally only sewing for kids, then including adults as well. Because HELLO, I like comfy hoodies as well!!

This creative outlet feeds my soul. Its a stress reliever most of the time. Boy are there times it has me swearing like a trucker, yet I keep coming back to it.  I love seeing my creations on people. Hearing how well their children love wearing the pieces, or how well the garment has held up. Seeing it get passed on from one kiddo to the next.

I am an one woman show around here. Every step(aside from making the fabric lol), is done by me.

Thankyou for your love and support.
